Security conversations were sharper, almost impatient. Less talk about abstract threat landscapes, more about response time measured in minutes, not days. APIs, identity layers, misconfigurations that everyone swears are edge cases but somehow keep showing up in breach reports. Panels felt less like education and more like group therapy for teams that have already been burned. The takeaway wasn’t panic, but a kind of hardened pragmatism: assume compromise, instrument everything, and accept that complexity itself is now an attack surface.
