January 23, 2023 By admin Leave a Comment

The event organized by Fira de Barcelona will give new drive to the digital transformation of the industry

Next Tuesday, January 31, the seventh edition of the IOT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC), the largest international event dedicated to the digital transformation of the industry, will kick off to give a new drive to the ecosystem of transformative technologies. Under the slogan ‘Game-changing technologies for industry transformation’, IOTSWC will bring together 330 exhibitors and more than 250 experts who will highlight the importance of digitization for a more efficient and sustainable industry.

Organized by Fira de Barcelona and the Industry IoT Consortium® (IIC®™), IOTSWC will be held from January 31 to February 2 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue, with leading companies such as ABB, Altair, Amazon Web Services, Deutsche Telekom, Device Authority, Entrust, Emnify, Faircom, KNX, STMicroelectronics, Nozomi Networks, Relayr, Sternum and TxOne, who will showcase their new products, services focused on the transformation of the industry through technologies such as Internet of Things (IOT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Twins (Digital Twins) and Blockchain, among others.

Themes and Testbed Area
The Congress program of IOTSWC 2023 will revolve around six themes to offer a cross-sector vision: IOT Industry, AI, Digital Twins, Edge Computing, Augmented Reality and 5G. Among the speakers are, Michael Grieves, Executive Director and Chief Scientist of the Digital Twin Institute, who is widely considered as the father of the Digital Twins; Sean O’Reagain, Deputy Head of Industry 5.0 at the European Commission; or Timmy Mbaya, head of application software at Blue Origin, a company developing a space station for commercial activities.

The Testbed Area will be one of the main attractions of the event with the presence of nine initiatives ranging from Cobots – robots prepared to collaborate with humans in industrial processes – to logistics management using Blockchain, through a system for sanitizing beverage dispensers.

The IOTSWC will hold a new edition of the IOTSWC Awards, the Game Changer of the Year award and the Startup Pavilion, a space for technology startups.

Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress and Integrated Systems Europe
IOTSWC will be held again with the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress (BCC), which in 2023 celebrates its fourth edition. Organized by Fira de Barcelona and the Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya, the BCC will feature a program of conferences and activities, an exhibition area, a space for startups and a Hacking Village.

In addition, both events will take place simultaneously with Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), the world’s leading professional audiovisual and systems integration tradeshow, which will be held until February 3 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.
