September 27, 2023 By admin Leave a Comment

Regnology, a premier software provider specializing in regulatory reporting solutions, is thrilled to announce the 30th annual RegTech Convention, scheduled for November 21-22, 2023. This two-day event will seamlessly blend in-person gatherings across various European cities with virtual streaming, facilitating participation from across the globe.

“The RegTech Convention is a unique platform for global leaders in finance and regulation to explore the synergies between regulatory frameworks and technological advancements,” stated Rob Mackay, CEO of Regnology. #regtech #suptech #regtechcon

Anticipated to be one of the largest gatherings of its kind, the 30th RegTech Convention will bring together over 2,000 participants from more than 105 countries. To commemorate this milestone, six in-person community events in Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Spain will be conducted, attracting more than 600 industry experts who will delve into convention topics from a localized perspective.

Under the theme “The Balancing Act of Reg and Tech,” this year’s convention will examine how regulation and technology can collaborate to foster a more secure and stable world. Key areas of focus encompass the impact of specific regulations like ESG, Basel IV, and IReF, the acceleration of cloud adoption, and the evolving role and potential implications of AI. Google Cloud, a prominent partner, will be participating in the RegTech Convention for the first time.

The opening keynote, delivered by former Swedish Minister of Finance Anders Borg, will set the tone for the convention, addressing the overarching themes of regulation and technology while sharing insights gained from overseeing substantial economic reforms in Sweden and Europe from 2006-14. FDIC Deputy to the Vice Chairman Brandon Milhorn will lead a pivotal discussion on the vital role of digital transformation in effective supervision, drawing from his frontline experiences during the pandemic and recent upheavals in the US banking sector.

The virtual conference will host over 40 sessions featuring a distinguished lineup of more than 70 speakers. Esteemed experts from institutions such as the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), Bitpanda, Commerzbank, DZ Bank, European Banking Authority (EBA), European Central Bank (ECB), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Google Cloud, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Moody’s, Austrian National Bank (OeNB), Rabobank, and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) will share their insights.

The first day of the Convention will spotlight keynote speeches and panel discussions involving regulators, international organizations, and representatives from leading financial institutions. These discussions will explore the latest regulatory challenges and trends, emphasizing how digital transformation can help strike a balance between ongoing cost pressures and efficiency. On the second day, Regnology will outline its vision and strategy for shaping the future of regulatory reporting, offering dedicated streams focusing on banking regulations, transaction reporting, supervisory technology (SupTech), tax, and insurance reporting. Join us for this landmark event, where the worlds of regulation and technology converge to shape the future of finance. #RegTechConvention2023
