Five Taiwan-based DIY PC assemblers will compete, selecting parts from leading component manufacturers and racing against the clock to build fully functional and innovative PC systems. Newegg’s first PC Builder Competition in April 2023 was a resounding success, held at Taipei’s Syntrend Creative Park. It featured five teams rapidly building desktop PCs, attracting a large and enthusiastic crowd. The 2024 competition aims to surpass the excitement of the previous year, leveraging the larger stage of COMPUTEX to reach a broader audience of technology diehards.
The event will be narrated in both English and Chinese, with live PC building content displayed on a monitor featuring AI-translated subtitles. Audience members will have the chance to witness the intricate details of PC assembly and cheer on the contestants as they strive to beat the previous year’s record of 36 minutes and 2 seconds.
